Access on the day
This is the access provision run by Manchester Pride's own Access Team. The map above shows the exact facility locations, including the Calm Space. Always check the official guide for the latest before you travel.
How do I find access help on the day?
Look for the Access Team in bright yellow t-shirts. The Access Hub is at Sackville Gardens (Fri-Sun 6pm-11pm, Mon 10am-9pm).
How do I get there, and where can I park with a Blue Badge?
Accessible entrances are on Sackville Street and Chorlton Street (wider, tarmac, with an accessibility lane). Find nearby Blue Badge bays on the Blue Badge parking map.
How do wristbands and PA (carer) tickets work?
Access Reception is at Granby Row - lowered counter, induction loop, seating and step-free. Personal assistant / carer wristbands are free with supporting evidence (Access Card, PIP/DLA letter, GP letter or Blue Badge).
Where are the accessible toilets?
RADAR-key accessible toilets across the Village (Minshull Street, Chorlton Street, Richmond Street junctions and more). No key? The Access Team can help. Changing Places facilities at Sackville Gardens.
What accessible viewing is there for the parade and stages?
Two wheelchair viewing platforms and two ground-level areas for the parade, plus a Quiet Viewing Area (no whistles or air horns). Each stage has accessible platforms and ground-level areas.
Is there BSL interpretation and hearing loops?
BSL interpretation at the Main Stage and Community Stage. Portable induction loops at all entrance gates, Access Reception, the Access Hub, Medical, Welfare and the Calm Space.
Are assistance dogs allowed?
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout, including the Quiet Viewing Area during the parade.
What sensory warnings should I know about?
Expect flashing lights, strobe, smoke and haze effects at the Main and Community stages, and additionally lasers at the Dance Arena.
How do I arrange support before I go?
You can arrange support in advance - email the Access Team with the subject "Access Request", or use the Accessibility Request Form on the official accessibility page.

What still isn't accessible?
Pride isn't accessible until it's accessible for everyone. If a venue, stage, route or event let you down - a step with no ramp, no BSL, no quiet space, an inaccessible toilet - tell us. We'll collate it into a campaign to make next year better.
