Our commitment
Buzzbo exists to make the world more accessible, so this website must be too. We aim to meet - and where possible exceed - the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.
What we've built in
- Full keyboard navigation with clearly visible focus indicators, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Semantic HTML landmarks, labelled forms and status announcements for screen readers.
- A minimum text size of 16px everywhere, in the highly legible Lexend Deca typeface (designed to improve reading proficiency).
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for all text (cream #F8F7F2 on sage green #556B4D measures 5.4:1).
- Respect for your reduced-motion system preference - animations are disabled automatically.
- Layouts that reflow to 320px wide and support 200% zoom without loss of content.
Known limitations
- The interactive map view is still in development; all map results are also available as an accessible list.
- Provider-uploaded flyer images may lack full text alternatives - we require providers to duplicate key information as text.
Testing
We test with keyboard-only navigation, VoiceOver and NVDA screen readers, and automated tooling (axe-core) as part of our development process.
